Come and find us at the 2019 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union and the 2020 Meeting of the American Meteorological Society! UC Davis Atmospheric Science, Hydrologic Science, Geology, and Soils and Biogeochemistry Graduate Groups will be participating in the academic showcase at both of these meetings to answer your questions about our programs. The annual AGU Fall Meeting will take place in San Francisco, California between December 9-13, 2019 and is the largest interdisciplinary earth and space science meeting in the world. The annual AMS Meeting will take place in Boston, Massachusetts between January 12-16, 2020 and is the world’s largest yearly gathering for the weather, water, and climate community. Program Overview The University of California, Davis offers a full program of study leading to Bachelors (B.S.) , Masters (M.S.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in Atmospheric Science. Our B.S. program conforms to the national accreditation standards set by the National Weather Service and the American Meteorological Society. The M.S. and Ph.D. programs are overseen by the Atmospheric Science Graduate Group . Our graduate program targets a diverse range of specialties including: Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Quality Biometeorology and Micrometeorology Mesoscale and Boundary-Layer Meteorology Large-Scale and Climate Dynamics Computational Geosciences Extreme Weather Climate Change Impacts Part of the Department of Land, Air, and Water Resources within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Science , the UC Davis Atmospheric Science program offers excellent opportunities for students. Small class sizes foster student-instructor interaction. Students can pursue topics in observations, instrumentation, theory, modelling and computation.
